Algorithm versions
6.9.2 (Oct 28, 2026, 08:12 UTC)
- In pour-over mode, fixed recipe generation that often failed for immersion drippers with a manual valve. Unless the request asks for immersion or a hybrid, the recipe now defaults to opening the valve at the bloom and leaving it open, and the instructions make clear that a closed steep must be followed by a later pour with the valve open.
6.9.1 (Oct 27, 2026, 06:29 UTC)
- In pour-over mode, the standard bloom volume used as the starting point is now a multiple of 5ml close to twice the coffee dose. The instruction that every pour except the last uses a multiple of 5ml now also applies when the number of pours does not change.
6.9.0 (Oct 25, 2026, 03:30 UTC)
- Retired Wasin Style. Saved Wasin Style recipes can still be viewed, sent and saved as before, but no style name is shown for them.
6.8.0 (Oct 22, 2026, 08:51 UTC)
- Wasin Style can now be chosen only for hot drinks in pour-over mode. It is no longer offered in xBloom mode or for iced drinks, and its instructions for them were removed. Saved xBloom-mode and iced recipes can still be viewed, sent and saved as before.
6.7.5 (Oct 20, 2026, 08:28 UTC)
- Newly generated recipes now use water at 92°C or lower. Saved recipes at 93–95°C still display, send and save as before, and a saved Temperature (coffee information takes priority) of 93–95°C is read as 92°C.
6.7.4 (Oct 19, 2026, 06:05 UTC)
- For immersion drippers with a manual valve, the valve open/close steps are now correct on the first attempt.
6.7.3 (Oct 17, 2026, 02:32 UTC)
- Wasin Style now uses two pours, with adjusted water, rest, bypass, ice and grind.
6.7.2 (Oct 17, 2026, 01:26 UTC)
- Wasin Style now pours every pour in a spiral, whatever the dripper.
6.7.1 (Oct 16, 2026, 23:42 UTC)
- Revised the Wasin Style reference recipe. In xBloom mode and pour-over mode, hot and iced recipes now start from two brewing stages at one water temperature, and hot recipes use a bypass to set the strength.
- In xBloom mode, Wasin Style uses 120 rpm for the built-in grinder again. Saved 80 rpm recipes still display, send and save as before.
- In pour-over mode, with an immersion dripper whose valve you open and close by hand, Wasin Style steeps the first stage with the valve closed and opens it for the second stage.
- In pour-over mode, when you generate from a product page URL, the page is now read before the equipment is looked up.
- Wasin Style grind for an external grinder, and the built-in grinder reference (now 53), now start from the Comandante C40 26-click equivalent.
6.7.0 (Oct 16, 2026, 15:15 UTC)
- Newly generated recipes now use water at 93°C or lower. Saved recipes at 94–95°C still display, send and save as before, and a saved Temperature (coffee information takes priority) of 94–95°C is read as 93°C.
- Added Wasin Style. The built-in grinder now also supports 80 rpm.
6.6.2 (Oct 9, 2026, 04:29 UTC)
- In xBloom mode with the Mighty Panama Geisha style and a listed external grinder, the grind now starts slightly coarser than the coarse end of that grinder's general recommended range, matching the style's coarse grind, instead of staying inside the range.
6.6.1 (Sep 28, 2026, 16:56 UTC)
- In pour-over mode, when the model identifies a manual-valve immersion dripper but validation fails because no valve open/close action was set, the retry instructions now spell out the valve rule so it can be corrected.
6.6.0 (Sep 27, 2026, 08:07 UTC)
- Styles can now be selected in pour-over mode. Each style's pour allocation and bloom approach is adapted to the selected dripper's drainage speed, capacity and whether it is an immersion dripper, using a single water temperature.
- In pour-over mode, the Samo Bloom style blooms with room-temperature (RT) water before brewing with hot water.
- In pour-over mode, the Opus 5.5 Ultimate Recipe style and the Mighty Panama Geisha style use reference recipes redesigned for pour-over.
- Retired the Astra Ultimate Recipe style.
6.5.3 (Sep 26, 2026, 08:49 UTC)
